RV insurance
Whether you take weekend trips around Florida or live on the road, we’ll match your coverage to how you actually use your RV.
The short answer
Motorhomes are motor vehicles, so in Florida they need the same PIP and property damage liability as a car, plus coverage for the living quarters. Towable travel trailers and fifth wheels are covered for liability by the tow vehicle’s policy while hitched, but need their own policy for physical damage and contents. Full-time RVers need extra coverage that works like homeowners insurance.
Storing your RV for part of the year? Some carriers lower the premium during storage. We’ll compare the options.
Your auto policy usually extends liability to a trailer while you’re towing it, but not physical damage to the trailer or its contents. A separate trailer policy covers those.
Only if you add personal effects coverage. Check the limit against what you actually carry.
